Kicking off 2022!

We're excited to be launching our first event of 2022 in the lovely, historic Ruthin Gaol grounds.

The team working on the event is excellent at putting on family-friendly, inclusive, and safe events, collaborating with the attending vendors to create a vibrant and diverse market. Let's see what we can expect at the next market!

On April 16th 2022, the Ruthin Food & Drink Festival will begin at 11:00. You'll be welcomed into the gaol to explore. Donations will be collected at the entrance gates to restore the munitions storage shed, and all donations will be greatly appreciated. Last year, the artisan markets raised over £1000 after asking for donations, and the team will be happy to answer questions and direct you to anything you want. Dogs and well-behaved people are welcome.

What do we have available?

There's guaranteed to be something tasty at the market, no matter what you're hungry for.

Monster Grills will be serving up their signature burgers, Little Tram Catering will be offering pizzas, and Maggies African Twist will serve up an African twist. Those with a sweet tooth can look forward to local favourites Chilly Cow Ice Cream, Royle Bakes, Percy Puds, and Tinas Mini Donuts.

Rachels Eco & Vegan Snacks offers both eco-friendly and vegan choices. Jem Jams and Tom Tree Farm will satisfy your jam and chutney desires, while Pen Y Bryn Apiary offers delicious honey products.

Blighty Booch is also offering us their ever-popular kombucha and Swig Smoothie has fruit-infused drinks and Ffika Coffee can take care of our morning caffeine cravings.

For those over 18, there will be a variety of boozy stands offering Cariad Gin, Angel Feathers Liqueur, Magic Dragon Brewing, and 612 Bar cocktails among other things. Of course, there will be real ale and local cider from Big Hand Brewery, Rosies Cider, and Hafod Brewing Co.

More than just food here!

Browse and shop at one of the craft stalls; you'll probably find something for all those forgotten birthdays and anniversaries.

Just Moo, Kirsty Williams and Sarah Bartlem's ceramics, and of course Mal the Woodman, will be there as well.

Make sure to check out Ruthin as well!

It's wonderful to see so many visitors in Ruthin on Saturday market days, as well as remember that there's plenty to see and do there. The Food & Drink Festival is held in the town centre, so it's easy to explore the village. You don't have to rush back to the vehicle when you're carrying too much, because guests may come and go as they please. Parking is available at Cae Ddol car park across the road, as well as at Park Road car park next to the gaol on the footbridge across the road. Parking is available on Market Street and Dog Lane.
